New Internet Marketing Social Network

I wanted to let all of you know about a new social network I found that you can use to get viral exposure to your products/services immediately.

How to Write Killer Articles that Flood Your Site with Traffic

Content is King so how is your lowly article going to get read by enough people to drive any traffic to your site. It’s simple really, make some one mad, make someone cry, irritate the hell out of someone, offer them hope or make them laugh. Basically stir up their emotions.

Good content is not enough. If you don’t drag someone into the article with a great title and an excellent first paragraph who gives a darn what your bio says. The bio is the point right? Unless you are just looking for a bunch of free links and aren’t really in need of high quality traffic to your site.

Take some of articles the top guru’s in the industry have written. Recently Mike Filsamie wrote an email about the paradigm shift in making money in internet marketing. The article he wrote nearly devastated my own belief in making money in my own online business and I have been making my living online for nearly 9 years. The title and the first paragraph drew me in until I ended up reading the whole thing. I honestly felt fear for my financial future.

It was a powerful email with a powerfully priced item. Mike pulled out all the stops in his emotionally charged article. Had I not already had a profitable online business I probably would have taken him up on his offer. Sorry Mike.

What Mike did so well was to create an emotion. Facts and Statistics are fine but what stirs us to take action is emotion. If your articles are all fact and create no emotion then who cares about going on to find more dry facts at your web site. Your articles will fall into the depths of article directories everywhere and be a big fat waste of your time.

So back to the beginning.

Ask yourself. What about your topic is going to create an emotional reaction. Any topic can create emotion in the right audience.

Let’s take something truly mundane. Laundry. I currently wash clothes for 5 people. I hate laundry. I hate lugging the detergent, I hate folding it, I hate collecting it, I hate putting it away. Now there’s an emotion for you. Hate. I mean what about laundry is great? The only thing about laundry that could be considered remotely good was going to the Laundromat while I was in college. Why? Because all my friends were there and the Laundromat served beer. Any way back to the point. . .

Let say I want to drive people to my site about laundry with an article -- Everyone has some level of disdain about doing laundry so we know there is some emotion.

I could right an article titled, “How to Do Laundry.” Wow, that title will bring em in for sure. Now try this. Hate doing laundry? Use these steps to cut your laundry in half.

Now I have connected to my audience with an emotion. Hate. I gave my audience a solution. Put the two titles in an article directory and the Hate doing laundry title gets clicked and how to do laundry dies. If you continue the sentiment down into the article with a mix of solutions and interest you’ve got your self an interested prospect that may very well end up at your website.

The minute the first Christmas tree shows up in the store display people start feeling the stress of the financial pinch of Christmas. As the lists get longer the money in the checkbook dwindles and spills over into overuse of credit cards.

People walk out of the Christmas holiday more financially stressed than they went in. With empty bank accounts and credit cards bulging with finance charges it’s a wonder you can find any joy in the season at all.

Stop the madness. Enjoy the season stress free with the proper plan.

Shorten the list. No teacher ever failed a student for not bringing them another coffee cup. Have your children make thank you cards instead. I am positive your teachers will find a well written card more rewarding. Think of other people who would prefer sentiment more to nick nacks and remove them from your list.

Start shopping now. Instead of getting slammed with the full Christmas financial crunch in one month spread it out over a few months.

Back from a 2 Day Scrapbook Retreat

Hurray I completed 42 to pages at my scrapbook retreat this weekend. If you are a scrapbooker you know that 42 pages is a good weekend.

Over 140 moms were at the retreat. It was exciting visiting with everyone and looking over the pages.

I also was amazed at all the stuff. I always think I have a lot of stuff until I go to one of these retreats. Whe you need appliance moving carts and it takes 3 trips even then to get your stuff in the door you know you are in the midst of big time scrapbookers.

The hobbie is not a cheap one. I heard more than one mom say they have saved for this event all year. Other say they couldn't spend much at the vendor's shops because money was tight.

Are Your Communication Skills Killing Your Business?

In the face paced age we live in we can reach more and more prospects faster than ever before using the telephone. 15 years ago when I was in college I had a part time job as a telemarketer. I was very successful at it. Until now I never really focused on why.

I had the same script, I was calling on the same people as the other representatives in the room yet I was turning more of my prospects into sales than most people in the room. Today I know I was an excellent student of the communication training offered by the company. I was using the skills to make sales and commissions while others were there to collect their hourly wage.

Today I work in the lead generation industry and I find so many of my customers are frustrated with leads they purchase to build their businesses. On a number of occasions I have received terrible emails regarding the quality of the leads and the customer’s lack of success. It was really getting to me because I knew the leads were working for me. The leads were working for other customers. So why were they not working for all my customers?

The answer is communication. On the telephone you have less than 30 seconds to make a connection with your prospect. If you don’t know how to make that connection using good communication skills all the greatest leads in the world won’t help you reach your goals.

Here are a couple of tips to help you make the connection with your prospects:

People don’t respond to what you say as much as they respond to how you say it. Get to know your Power Words, how your voice inflection can influence your prospects response, and how to elicit the emotions you want.

Communication is not only about speaking but it is also knowing when to shut up and listening. Listening to your prospects response to your scripted questions can give you the hot buttons you need to close the sale or recruit a new distributor.

Be confident on the telephone. If you are not confident in what you are promoting why would anyone want to take you up on your offer?

Overcome limiting beliefs that hold you back from sponsoring people. It really is all in your mind. With the right belief system you can do anything you set your mind to.
